My stay at California Inn Barstow was unexpectedly delightful, especially after a booking blunder on my part regarding the arrival date. The staff graciously made an exception, showcasing their commitment to guest satisfaction. The inn stands out for its comfort, exceptional value, and genuine pet friendliness. My room provided the cozy retreat I needed, complete with a comfortable bed and cleanliness that exceeded my expectations. For travelers seeking a budget-friendly, welcoming place to stay with their furry friends, California Inn Barstow is a gem in the desert. Highly recommended for a restful experience.

We booked this as a stopover from San Diego to Las Vegas, a little gem of a place. Great staff if you needed anything. Superb room and facilities, breakfast was included and although it was a busy breakfast room, we were never short of something to eat. We absolutely loved the pool area as it was spacious and very clean and never as busy that you could not get a lounger. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Excellent value for money. We would certainly not hesitate in recommending this property and would definitely stay here again, absolutely loved it.

I stayed at this motel a year ago, so this is a second review. This time the room I had was further away from the outside access-door, so things were quieter. As I said before ... The room was clean, good-sized with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and TV. The guest toothbrush and toothpaste are still a nice bathroom touch. With the curtains drawn, the room was adequately dark. Breakfast was included, and there was a decent selection of food available. Overall, it remains a good value.

It was nice to have a sliding door to the car area, but secure interior door as well. Good Italian food across the street (closes at 8). Easy access to gas, snacks and the highway.
